YouApp Privacy Policy

This privacy policy (“Privacy Policy”) is a legal agreement between you and YouApp LLC and its affiliates (“YouApp”, “we”, “our”, “us”) for the use of the YouApp website and YouApp Creator Apps and software.

This Privacy Policy describes the information we collect and how we use it. If you have questions, please refer to the full text version of the Privacy Policy below.

We may collect personal information from you when you navigate our website, sign up for our waitlist, and when you create an account. If you use the YouApp mobile application (the “YouApp Creator App”), we also collect information about your activities on the YouApp Creator App.

We use your personal information to improve website security and functionality, to provide you with products and services that you request, to improve our products and services, and to provide you with information on our products and services (you can always opt-out from this).

What Information We Collect

We may collect personal information from you (which may include your name, address, telephone number, e-mail address, username and password, university, and location information) when you:

• Create an account on our website or a YouApp Creator App
• Request information from us
• Send us an e-mail
• Sign up for our newsletter

Security and Retention of Information

YouApp will make reasonable efforts to ensure that your personal information is properly secured using appropriate technical and organizational measures, so that they are protected against unauthorized or unlawful use, alteration, unauthorized access or disclosure, accidental or wrongful destruction, and loss.

Deleting Your Account

You can delete your account in the app or on the web. In an artist’s app or on the artist’s web page, Settings → Delete account deletes your account in that app only; your YouApp account and your accounts in other apps are not affected. In the YouApp app, or in the account menu on youapp.vip, Delete YouApp account deletes your YouApp account and your accounts in every artist’s app.

When you ask, you are signed out at once and the deletion completes seven days later. If you sign in again before then, the deletion is canceled and nothing is removed. After seven days your profile, photo, messages, likes, preferences and devices are deleted for good.

Some records stay. Comments you posted remain, shown as “Deleted fan”. Records of payments and subscriptions remain with your name and email removed, because they are the artist’s accounts and ours. Records of agreements you accepted, and our security and audit logs, remain as well. Deleted information may stay in our backups for up to fourteen days, after which it is gone.

An account that runs an artist’s app — the artist’s own, their team’s, or a client’s — cannot be deleted from the app. Write to hello@youapp.vip and we will do it with you.

Changes to this Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy may be updated periodically and these changes may affect the way we use your personal information. We encourage you to periodically review this page to stay informed about how we use your personal information.
